Guild Wars 2 has been beta released for Mac.

Maybe you didn’t hear me the first time but, Guild Wars 2 has been released for Mac.

According to this post on the official website, the Mac version is now available. The best part, however, is that the people who previously purchased the game can now play it on Mac. There will be no differences in servers, so PC users beware. The Mac version is still in beta, so the overall experience will be better once the final version is released.

To access the beta, you need to have an active Guild Wars 2 account. Log in to account.guildwars2.com and click download client to get started. The beta hardware specifications can be found on their website.

Finally, ArenaNet has worked closely with TransGaming, using the latter’s Cider technology. The technology allows future updates to be shared across both platforms.

Skyrim DLC for PS3 Update

Aggravation over  Skyrim PS3 DLC release eats at gamers. Dawnguard for PS3, is still a hopeful dream as well as Hearthfire, these are both available for Xbox 360. Recent tweets given by one of the people from Bethesda may shine light to what seemed like a lost cause.

There has been earlierrants on Twitter to Bethesda as they continue damage control over the lack of DLC availability for the Playstation 3. As reported by Product Reviews website, Pete Hines, the Vice President of PR and Marketing at Bethesda sent out a recent tweet response to a Twitter member, which claims that a PS3 version of the DLC is still being worked on. Pete Hines tweeted:

“@NazDaBaz_MTW not cancelled, still working on it. The process of “trying things” just isn’t a quick one.”

With reading this statement, the only thing we can hope for is that PS3 owners get to experience the full effects of Skyrim soon.

Campcom Talks about the Resident evil 6 PC port

Some more information about Resident Evil 6, Many fans are asking the developer about a PC release and this is what had been stated.

According to Capcom senior VP Christian Svensson, though, taking a more deliberate approach will help them avoid some of the missteps that can come from a poor port.”The process did not begin until after the console versions were complete, submitted, approved by console 1st parties to use that final codebase as the starting point,” Svensson said on the Capcom Unity forums (via The Escapist). He says the team is appropriately small for the project size, and it will still be “some time” before the company provides details on release dates and PC specs.

“Projects like this you guys seem to think are ‘trivial’ but they are not,” he said. “When they get treated as trivial, you end up with Resident Evil 4 PC… which I don’t think too many true fans were pleased with.” Resident Evil 4 was criticized for poor graphics and lack of mouse support

Dead Island:Riptide CGI Trailer released, will it be as good as the first game?

Dead Island: Riptide CGI trailer was released, and after watching the couple obliterate themselves in a huge explosion created by propane and a lighter. This video definitely chilled me more than the announcement trailer for the original Dead Island video game. Basically you have to see it for yourselves to get the full feeling that most of us are feeling.

I wish we had more information to share with you, unfortunately there isn’t anything further to include. We know that BioWare is known for their elaborate ability to tell a story, and the Dragon Age Saga is hugely played for the RPG and Story aspects. For me the Dragon Age Series has provided countless hours of pure fun. Looking forward to finding out more about this excellent and anticipated announcement.

Resident Evil 6 Demo…All or Nothing?

Today I downloaded  the demo of Resident Evil 6, and right away I have to say that my inner child kicked in and it was on from that point. Resident Evil 6 has aesthetically pleasing graphics, great crisp sound, and as far as the demo would let me looked to be a great interface. Now one of the issues I ran into on several different occasions, was the controls. I don’t know how many times I got planted firmly on my back because of a concussion shot from a sniper, or getting knocked down by knife wielding lunatics! The controls when you start are nice  and hold up to a Resident Evil title, but then you get into the cover system, and it looks like it needs much more polish and fine tuning.

Now let’s get into the Gameplay. Wow what an experience, they have a hail of bullets, the enemies use cover, and the AI is intelligent when it comes to tactics. I managed to get flanked on several occasions while i was busy shooting one B.O.W. I was getting knifed by another. Throughout the entire demo I was held in suspense, waiting to see what was lurking around the corner and what could be hiding in the corridors and windows. I would like to say that as long as the game  stays along with the demo gameplay, this will easily be rated an 8 or 9 by the famous video game sites.

Now the only hang ups I had in this play through would be the cover system, while it is an excellent cover system it is not excellent cover controls. When I referred to being planted on my back by snipers I was trying to take cover behind the sandbags and instead of going back into crouch after firing, Chris  just stood there like a deer in headlights would fit the description. While cover is an excellent addition I would have to implore to Capcom to please fix the cover transitions, they are breaking the immersion factor.

So in short I would say that resident Evil 6 is a great game despite the minor hang-ups with pleasing graphics, excellent sound quality  I would rate this a must buy come release day.

The Last of Us

The Last of Us

After watching this video, and reading all the reviews and rants, I have decided this game would be a reason to buy a PS3 again!!

Survive an apocalypse on Earth in The Last of Us, a PlayStation 3-exclusive title by Naughty Dog. Here, you will find abandoned cities reclaimed by nature. Here is a population decimated by a modern plague. Here, there are only survivors killing each other for food, weapons, or whatever they can get their hands on. Here, you find no hope.

Joel, a brutal survivor, and Ellie, a brave young teenage girl who is wise beyond her years, must work together if they hope to survive their journey across the US.

Furthermore, if you like survival, and you love the sneaking around and wanting to destroy everything than this is the game for you to demolish.
Imagine my joy, when i first watched Joel grab a guy use him as a shield and then brutally beat the man sensless when he didn’t need him anymore, migh have well qued the hail music. All in all I will have to play this game and so should you.
