Maybe you didn’t hear me the first time but, Guild Wars 2 has been released for Mac.
According to this post on the official website, the Mac version is now available. The best part, however, is that the people who previously purchased the game can now play it on Mac. There will be no differences in servers, so PC users beware. The Mac version is still in beta, so the overall experience will be better once the final version is released.
To access the beta, you need to have an active Guild Wars 2 account. Log in to account.guildwars2.com and click download client to get started. The beta hardware specifications can be found on their website.
Finally, ArenaNet has worked closely with TransGaming, using the latter’s Cider technology. The technology allows future updates to be shared across both platforms.
Aggravation over Skyrim PS3 DLC release eats at gamers. Dawnguard for PS3, is still a hopeful dream as well as Hearthfire, these are both available for Xbox 360. Recent tweets given by one of the people from Bethesda may shine light to what seemed like a lost cause.
There has been earlierrants on Twitter to Bethesda as they continue damage control over the lack of DLC availability for the Playstation 3. As reported by Product Reviews website, Pete Hines, the Vice President of PR and Marketing at Bethesda sent out a recent tweet response to a Twitter member, which claims that a PS3 version of the DLC is still being worked on. Pete Hines tweeted:
“@NazDaBaz_MTW not cancelled, still working on it. The process of “trying things” just isn’t a quick one.”
With reading this statement, the only thing we can hope for is that PS3 owners get to experience the full effects of Skyrim soon.
Remember when Michael Bay was making Transformers 3, he made it no secret that he didn’t plan on returning for a fourth movie. But he came around to the idea, and now he’s explaining why he changed his mind and will be back for Transformers 4 with this statement..
“I thought I was done,” he tells The Huffington Post. “Then the ride came out [at Universal Studios Hollywood] and the two-and-a-half-hour lines. And then you’re thinking, Oh my God, someone’s going to take this over. And you start doing a lot of soul-searching. Like, OK, I’m about to do a little movie, Pain & Gain … and the studio says they want to restart the franchise. And someone could come in here and screw it up, you know? So I’m thinking that if I do this last one, we set it on a new footing, we change a lot of things — but we keep the history of the three in place. But we broaden it so it can be set up and be carried on — it would have a better chance for survival, I guess. You know?”
“We’re basically taking from the history of where it was — or where we left it in Chicago,” he explains. “And we’re going to carry it on from there.”
Now there is also talk of Peter Cullen Coming back to be the voice of Optimus Prime
Here’s your first look at the upcoming spoof Scary Movie 5, showing Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan in the film’s opening scene:
This screen shot, could spell the end of the world as we know it! Charlie Sheen and Lindsey Lohan in bed together!? Dimension Films released the first image Thursday of the two gossip-mag favorites from their cameo in the upcoming parody “Scary Movie 5.”
According to Capcom senior VP Christian Svensson, though, taking a more deliberate approach will help them avoid some of the missteps that can come from a poor port.”The process did not begin until after the console versions were complete, submitted, approved by console 1st parties to use that final codebase as the starting point,” Svensson said on the Capcom Unity forums (via The Escapist). He says the team is appropriately small for the project size, and it will still be “some time” before the company provides details on release dates and PC specs.
“Projects like this you guys seem to think are ‘trivial’ but they are not,” he said. “When they get treated as trivial, you end up with Resident Evil 4 PC… which I don’t think too many true fans were pleased with.” Resident Evil 4 was criticized for poor graphics and lack of mouse support—
Dead Island: Riptide CGI trailer was released, and after watching the couple obliterate themselves in a huge explosion created by propane and a lighter. This video definitely chilled me more than the announcement trailer for the original Dead Island video game. Basically you have to see it for yourselves to get the full feeling that most of us are feeling.

So maybe you’ve heard that video games can help you make better life choices, boost your creativity, and improve your vision. But did you know that game developers are also helping fund life-saving research, build new homes, and encourage Americans to get out there and vote?
And they’re not doing it alone. This list counts down five of the most innovative partnerships between game developers and high-profile organizations like the National Science Foundation. One step at a time, these partnerships are changing the way we live, learn, and play.

Joss Whedon’s “S.H.I.E.L.D.” series will feature new characters. In an interview with MTV News, Whedon said the new series would have to feature new players, despite being set in the “Avengers” movie universe.
“It’s new characters. It needs to be its own thing,” Whedon said. “It needs to be adjacent [to the MCU] but you don’t want to do a show where you’re constantly going, ‘Iron Man just left, but he was totally here a minute ago.'”
Whedon said the characters need to do their own thing, even though they don’t have powers. “That makes them a little bit — even though they’re a big organization — underdogs, and that’s interesting to me,” Whedon explained.
The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” creator will write the project with his brother Jed Whedon and Jed’s Maurissa Tancharoen. The trio will executive produce the ABC pilot alongside Jeffrey Bell and Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb. Whedon will also write and direct the sequel to “The Avengers.”
“The important thing to me is that we know what the show is,” Whedon told Vulture. “We love what it is. It came together very organically, so when we went in to pitch [to Marvel], it wasn’t like, ‘We’re trying to find this because you want a TV show,’ it was, ‘Check this out.’ And that’s a good way to walk in a room.”
After the pilot was announced, we could not help but to investigate further on this epic announcement. We will continue to keep you updated as we get more information, but we want to ask you who do you think should be in the new TV Series? Let us know in the comments below, or tweet about it using #kotcSHIELD!
